AgFood2025 Conference Summary
AgFood2025, the Annual Conference of the Modern Agriculture Foundation, was an unforgettable event.
In partnership with the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment, and in collaboration with venture capitalists, startups, researchers, and government leaders, we gathered to envision and shape a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable food system.
From the first handshakes over light refreshments to the final applause at the awards ceremony, AgFood2025 exemplified the sense of community, purpose, and momentum we have collectively built.
We were captivated by the Startups Panel, which discussed innovative solutions for a sustainable food system. Leading startups presented breakthroughs in alternative proteins, cultivated food technologies, and circular economy principles.
Experts shared their insights on Global Food Security in a TED Talk-style format, addressing ESG integration, Foodtech as a growth catalyst, and innovative models for creating lasting impact.
Finally, we were joined by key industry figures who provided valuable perspectives on building a resilient and inclusive Foodtech Ecosystem, focusing on investment trends, gender equality in economic growth, and the financial viability of Foodtech.
